2025, Toned Cyanotype on raw canvas, 3' x 4'
Whether we are mothers ourselves, or simply the children of those who came before, we belong to a long and continuous thread of life. This piece is a tribute to that connection. The infinity symbol reflects how time, memory, and love are all part of a larger, unbroken loop—past, present, and still unfolding.
Each butterfly represents a soul: a mother, a child, someone loved. Some are still with us; others live on in memory. But all are connected—by blood, by care, by the invisible bonds that shape who we are.
You're invited to pause and reflect. Think of your mother, or a mother-figure. Think of your children, here or gone. If you feel moved, place a butterfly in their honor. Each one is a gesture of remembrance, a way of saying: you were/are here, and you matter(ed). We are all connected.
