2025, toned cyanotype on paper and silk, mounted on wood panel, 18 x 24"
Each day, the plant at the top of the room casts its shadow across the wall—changing every hour. The light shifts, the patterns move, and still, something serene remains. This piece is a meditation on that quiet rhythm: the steady unfolding of ordinary beauty during the long days of motherhood. I see this plant before sunrise, while we eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner, and again during the quiet after bedtime. I’ll always remember how the days stretched on, yet these days are the best days of my life. The Tradescantia saw it all, and watched me bloom.
